CD-PRTA NEC NEC UNIVERGE PBX Expansion Card

The NEC CD-PRTA is a Primary Rate Interface (PRI) card designed to provide ISDN30 connectivity for NEC telephone systems. This interface card enables the connection of digital trunk lines to the PBX, supporting up to 30 simultaneous voice channels over a single 2Mbit/s E1 circuit.

The CD-PRTA is typically deployed in NEC UNIVERGE or earlier generation PBX platforms where high-density ISDN trunk connectivity is required. It allows businesses to establish direct digital connections to the public telephone network or to interconnect with other PBX systems via ISDN tie lines.

As a legacy interface card, the CD-PRTA reflects the era when ISDN PRI was the standard for enterprise telephony trunk connectivity.
