The Newbridge 90-4909-24/L is a two-port electrical STM-1 interface card for the MainStreet Xpress 36170 ATM switch, catalogued as STM1-2 ELECT. It presents STM-1 at 155 Mbit/s over coaxial cable rather than fibre, giving the switch an ATM trunk where the site is wired for electrical rather than optical STM-1, and it can be configured as a user-network interface or as a network-node interface. The rest of the 90-4909 series covers the optical builds of the same card.

The /L is a build revision. Alcatel took over Newbridge Networks in February 2000 and continued the MainStreet Xpress line as the Alcatel 7470 MSP. The switch is out of vendor support and is kept in service from held spares. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
