The Nokia 473096A is the ABIA AirScale Capacity plug-in unit for the Nokia AirScale System Module Indoor. It adds baseband processing capacity to an AirScale indoor base station, occupying a single B-slot of the 19-inch subrack.

The AirScale Capacity unit provides six optical RF interfaces supporting up to 6 Gbps OBSAI or 9.8 Gbps CPRI to connect the baseband to remote radio heads. Up to six ABIA units can be fitted in a single AirScale System Module Indoor (AMIA), giving a modular path to scale 4G LTE and 5G NR capacity. It weighs around 2.1 kg with an IP20 rating.
