Nortel 25UPR00730GYN: PDMX 1+1 protection-switching card for Nortel telecommunications transmission and networking systems.

The Nortel 25UPR00730GYN is a 1+1 protection-switching card, automatically routing traffic onto a standby path if the working PDH line or card fails. It is one of the plug-in tributary cards that make up Nortel’s PDMX system, a programmable digital multiplexer built for private digital telecommunications networks, where the shelf’s control unit interfaces to the 2 Mbit/s trunk and each tributary card handles a specific circuit type. This class of PDH transmission equipment is still active in a number of established private networks, and a card like this is typically sourced to replace a failed unit, restore shelf capacity, or support an existing installation through its remaining service life. As with any legacy transmission spare, confirm the exact card revision and shelf compatibility against your installed system before ordering. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Nortel transmission spares, including cards of this type, to support ongoing maintenance. Please contact our sales team for current stock and pricing.
