Nortel NT5S00BAE6: BES50 FE-24T-PWR Business Ethernet Switch 50, 24-port Fast Ethernet with 12 PoE ports.

The Nortel NT5S00BAE6 is a Business Ethernet Switch 50 (BES50) FE-24T-PWR, a managed 24-port Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps) switch with 12 IEEE 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet ports, 64MB RAM, 16MB flash, and a 4.8Gbps switch fabric.

The Business Ethernet Switch range passed to Avaya with its 2009 acquisition of Nortel’s enterprise business, so the same units are also sold under the Avaya name. It supports VLANs (up to 16 port-based), 802.3ad link aggregation and Spanning Tree/Rapid Spanning Tree, and is managed via a web UI or SNMP, making it a straightforward Layer 2 switch for small-office deployments needing PoE for handsets or access points.

BES50 units remain in demand for maintaining or expanding legacy Nortel/Avaya small-office network installations. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies network switches for ongoing network maintenance. Please contact our sales team for current stock and pricing.
