The Nortel NT7E20GC is a shelf processor module for the S/DMS TransportNode SONET/SDH optical transport platform. As the shelf processor it acts as the intelligence of the network element, running the service and maintenance functions, handling the SONET/SDH overhead Data Communications Channels (DCC), and interworking with the Operations Controller (OPC) for operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning across the control network. The module is deployed in S/DMS TransportNode OC-3, OC-12 and OC-48 shelves used in carrier and large enterprise transport rings, where it manages the cards in its shelf and communications to remote network elements over the SONET overhead. The NT7E20GC is a legacy component from Nortel’s optical transmission portfolio and remains in service across established SONET/SDH installations. We supply it refurbished and tested.
