The Nortel NT8B90AAAEE6 is a Euro Analog Terminal Adapter 2, a card that provides analogue phone and fax ports on Nortel’s Business Communications Manager (BCM) and Norstar platforms configured for the European market, where loop signalling, ringing cadence and line voltage differ from the North American default. It lets standard analogue handsets, fax machines and modems connect to an otherwise digital BCM/Norstar system. Revision and market variant matter here, since the Euro-specific adapter is not interchangeable with the North American version.
