Nortel NTKD19AB: OPTera Metro Subrack Controller Card for Nortel telecommunications systems.

The Nortel NTKD19AB is a Subrack Controller Card for the Nortel OPTera Metro optical transport platform, part of the documented NT0H/NTEU/NTPM/NTKD-prefixed family of OPTera Metro transponder, tributary and control cards. The subrack controller manages shelf-level control and communication functions for its subrack, coordinating the individual line and tributary cards fitted into that shelf. OPTera Metro equipment of this generation remains in service across a number of established metro optical transport networks, and genuine controller cards such as this are a routine requirement for restoring shelf management functionality after a card failure. Specifiers should confirm exact compatibility against their specific OPTera Metro configuration before ordering. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Nortel OPTera Metro cards to support ongoing network maintenance. Please contact our sales team to confirm exact compatibility and for current stock and pricing.
