The Nortel NTTQ4010 is a Nortel WLAN 2210 handset, an 802.11b Wi-Fi telephone handset designed to register as an IP endpoint on a Nortel Communication Server 1000/Meridian 1 or Business Communications Manager system over the site’s existing wireless LAN, rather than a DECT cordless handset requiring a dedicated base station. It gives staff a mobile voice extension anywhere the wireless LAN reaches, which made it a common fit for warehouses, hospitals and retail sites already running Wi-Fi infrastructure.

The WLAN 2210/2211 handset range is a well-documented part of Nortel’s enterprise telephony portfolio, and genuine replacement units such as this one are a routine requirement for sites that standardised on it as older handsets wear out or are lost.
