Nortel NTVW00CH: Nortel-branded AudioCodes Mediant 2000 media gateway, 1-span, dual-AC, SIP.

The Nortel NTVW00CH is a Nortel-branded AudioCodes Mediant 2000 digital VoIP media gateway, in the 1-span, dual-AC-power, SIP configuration, the smallest-span-count member of the Mediant 2000 range also catalogued here alongside the 2-span and 4-span variants. AudioCodes built the underlying Mediant 2000 hardware, which Nortel resold under its own part numbering as the Nortel Media Gateway 3200 family, a common arrangement in carrier and enterprise voice equipment where a specialist gateway vendor’s platform is rebadged by a larger telecoms supplier. A 1-span unit terminates a single E1/T1 digital trunk and converts it to SIP, suiting a smaller site or a low-trunk-count application where the larger 2-span or 4-span units would be more capacity than needed. Genuine units such as this one are a routine requirement for maintaining or expanding an existing Nortel/AudioCodes gateway deployment. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks components.
