The Powerwave LPG21901 is a tower-mounted diplexer (TMD), an RF combining device installed at the antenna that combines or separates signals across two cellular frequency bands, in this case 800-900MHz and 1800-2100MHz, with related coverage of 924-960MHz and 1710-2170MHz depending on band plan. Mounting the diplexer at the tower top, close to the antenna, reduces feeder losses compared with combining signals at the base of the tower.
