Powerwave

Powerwave Technologies, based in Santa Ana, California, built the radio frequency hardware that sits at the top of a mobile mast: antennas, filters, tower mounted amplifiers and RF power amplifiers covering the major cellular bands and air interfaces. Much of its tower mounted amplifier and RF conditioning range came from REMEC’s wireless systems business, which Powerwave acquired in 2005. The company filed for Chapter 11 in January 2013 and ceased operations later that year, leaving a large installed base with no manufacturer behind it. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Powerwave hardware including dual duplexed tower mounted amplifiers for GSM1800 and tower mounted diplexers covering the 800 to 900MHz and 1800 to 2100MHz cellular bands. Refurbished Powerwave hardware remains in demand because the company no longer exists and mast head equipment still has to be maintained. Submit any Powerwave part number via the enquiry form for current pricing, condition information and availability.
