Proxim AP-700: ORiNOCO AP-700 (model 8675) tri-mode 802.11a/b/g wireless access point.

The Proxim AP-700 is the ORiNOCO AP-700 (model 8675), a tri-mode 802.11a/b/g wireless access point. It serves 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g clients from a single embedded radio, with 802.11i/AES encryption for secure wireless networking, and has a wired LAN port plus a serial (RS-232) console port for local configuration.

Some AP-700 variants (8675-US2 and 8675-AU) omit the external antenna connector for the 5GHz (802.11a) band, so check the model variant against the installation. ORiNOCO access points of this generation remain in service on enterprise wireless networks that have not moved to newer 802.11 standards.
