The Siemens S32011-Q130-X200-3 is a TransXpress telemetry interface module from the SLR16 line equipment. Telemetry cards carry supervisory and alarm information along the optical route so that intermediate stations report back to a central point, which is what makes an unstaffed regenerator site workable. This is the third issue of the X200 build, and issues in a Siemens transmission code are not always interchangeable across software releases.

The S32011 numbering belongs to Siemens TransXpress line equipment, the SLD16 and SLR16 family that carried STM-16 traffic on long haul and regional SDH routes before and through the Nokia Siemens Networks era. A terminal is assembled from optical interface units at STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16, a synchronous multiplexer controller, telemetry and supervisory interfaces, and the shelf power and control cards behind them. Inside the code the Q group marks the function and the tail marks the optical or build variant, so the whole string matters when you order.
