The IBM 80P4916 is an I/O backplane board from the same class of pSeries/RS6000 and iSeries I/O drawer backplanes as the IBM 80P6627 SA2 backplane elsewhere in our range. Backplanes of this type sit inside an I/O expansion drawer, providing the internal wiring and connector sockets that the drawer’s PCI or PCI-X adapter cards plug into and attaching the drawer back to the main system unit.
