The Juniper EX-SFP-1GE-T is a copper 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver for Juniper EX Series switches, providing a single Gigabit Ethernet port over standard copper cabling for switches built around SFP interface slots. It is the standard way to bring a copper Gigabit link into an EX switch chassis that otherwise expects fibre SFPs, commonly used for short local runs to servers, access points or other copper-only equipment sitting near the switch. As a hot-swappable module it can be fitted or replaced without powering down the switch.
