The Avaya M8024-100TX is a 24-port 100Base-TX Layer 2/3 switching module for the Avaya Cajun P880 multiservice routing switch chassis, closely related to the M8024R-100TX variant of the same card. It plugs into a P880 chassis slot to add 24 Fast Ethernet copper ports with full Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing capability, sitting alongside the chassis’s supervisor and other line modules. The Cajun P880/P882 platform was Avaya’s high-end multiservice routing switch of this generation, and modules such as this one are a routine requirement for maintaining full port capacity or replacing a failed card on an existing P880 deployment.
