The EMC DS-6510B is a 48-port Fibre Channel SAN switch supporting 16Gb FC connectivity. Based on the Brocade 6510 platform, this switch provides high-performance, low-latency switching for storage area network environments, with the capability to scale from 24 to 48 active ports as requirements grow.
This switch is designed for enterprise data centre deployments where reliable, high-bandwidth storage connectivity is essential. It serves as a core component in EMC storage networking architectures, connecting servers to SAN-attached storage arrays and enabling efficient data transfer across the fabric.
The DS-6510B represents the 16Gb generation of Fibre Channel switching technology. Whilst newer 32Gb and 64Gb FC platforms are now available, the 16Gb infrastructure remains widely deployed and continues to provide adequate performance for many enterprise storage workloads.
