The Nokia 472181A is the FSMF, the Flexi Multiradio 10 System Module at the heart of a Flexi base station. It is the baseband unit (BBU) that hosts BTS software, performs digital baseband processing and drives the connected radio modules over OBSAI/CPRI optical fronthaul, supporting multi-standard operation across GSM, WCDMA, FDD-LTE and TD-LTE. A single FSMF provides baseband capacity for up to three 20 MHz LTE cells and offers 1000BASE-T and optional optical SFP transport, with capacity expandable via FBBC sub-modules. The 3U, 19-inch rack-mountable module is used in indoor and outdoor Flexi cabinets. Within the Nokia Flexi Multiradio platform the FSMF is the central control and baseband engine. It is supplied refurbished.
