The Huawei 03997910 is an SSE3OBUC03C C-band Optical Booster Unit (OBU) for the Huawei OptiX OSN 6800 optical transport platform. As a booster amplifier it sits at the transmit end of a DWDM line, raising the aggregate optical power of the multiplexed wavelengths before they enter the outgoing fibre so the signal can reach the next amplifier or terminal site. The board is an erbium-doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) operating in the C-band, with optical power monitoring on its ports for commissioning and performance management. It installs in OptiX OSN 6800 subracks alongside the platform’s other optical amplifier and line boards.
