ALCATEL 3AL81205AC 1678MCC Telecom System Card / Module

The Alcatel 3AL81205AC is a replacement fan unit designed for the 1678 MCC (Metro Core Connect) optical transmission platform. This cooling module provides essential thermal management to maintain optimal operating temperatures within the chassis, ensuring reliable performance of the optical transport equipment. The 1678 MCC is part of Alcatel-Lucent’s high-density optical networking portfolio, deployed in metro, regional and core network applications. The fan module is a critical component for maintaining system uptime, as adequate airflow prevents thermal-related failures in high-density optical transmission environments. This is legacy Alcatel-Lucent hardware, now under Nokia following the merger. While no longer in active production, the 1678 MCC platform remains deployed in numerous carrier networks, creating ongoing demand for replacement cooling components to maintain existing installations.
