The Nokia 472109A.102 is an ESMB (Extended System Module B), a Flexi Multiradio system module for GSM/EDGE base stations. It acts as the control and processing hub of the Nokia Flexi BTS, hosting baseband and BTS software and housing plug-in control, capacity, transmission and power cards. The ESMB provides up to 18 TRX of capacity and includes an integrated transport unit offering E1, T1, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Flexbus interfaces. It can be chained with a second system module such as an ESMB or ESMC to expand a site toward the platform maximum of 36 TRX per BCF. This is the .102 hardware revision.
