The Nortel NTEU11AA is a 2Mbit/s 75-ohm tributary card for the Optical Metro 4000 platform, Nortel’s SDH transmission system for multiservice STM-4/16 access, metro edge and regional networks.

The card plugs into an Optical Metro 4000 shelf and provides 2Mbit/s (E1) tributary interfaces at 75-ohm unbalanced impedance, letting the shelf add lower-rate PDH traffic onto the SDH ring carried by its aggregate cards. It sits alongside other tributary cards in the same family, including the STM-1E/140Mbit/s NTEU13AA and the STM-4 NTEU20AA, which are used to match a shelf’s tributary mix to the services being carried.
