The HP 5065-5284 is a 36.4GB Ultra320 SCSI hard disk drive built around a Seagate Cheetah mechanism (Seagate ST336607LC) spinning at 10,000 RPM, and is also known under HP’s related part numbers A6571A, A6571-69002 and A6571-60001. It is a 3.5-inch large form factor (LFF) drive with an 80-pin SCA connector and 8MB of onboard cache, designed for hot-swap replacement in HP servers and storage enclosures without an outage. The Ultra320 interface delivers up to 320MB/s of burst throughput, and combined with the 10K spindle speed the drive was positioned as a mid-tier performance option between HP’s 15K enterprise drives and slower midline disks. It was widely deployed across early-2000s HP NetServer and ProLiant systems as well as HP StorageWorks disk enclosures needing SCSI-attached capacity.
