The Huawei MRRU3908(1800) is an MRRU3908 Multi-mode Remote Radio Unit configured for the 1800MHz frequency band. Part of the RRU3900 series (MRRU V3 architecture), it forms the radio front-end of a Huawei distributed base station, mounted at the antenna site and connected to a BBU3900 or BBU3910 baseband unit via CPRI fibre. The 1800MHz variant supports DCS1800 and compatible multi-mode operation under Huawei’s SingleRAN platform, converting digital baseband signals to RF for transmission and reception at the mast head. As with the rest of the MRRU3900 family, deploying the radio unit at the antenna rather than routing long feeder cable back to an indoor cabinet reduces signal loss and improves network performance and capacity, the central advantage of Huawei’s distributed RRU architecture.
