The Huawei SSN1SLQ1A22 (SLQ1A) is a 4xSTM-1 optical interface board for the OptiX OSN family of SDH multiservice transmission platforms, compatible with the OSN 1500B, OSN 2500, OSN 3500 and OSN 7500. The board receives and transmits up to four independent channels of STM-1 (155 Mbit/s) optical signal, performing photoelectric conversion, extraction and insertion of SDH section and path overhead bytes, and reporting line alarms and performance statistics to the network management system. It supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 path trace and signal label bytes, and standard SDH protection schemes including multiplex section protection and sub-network connection protection (SNCP), allowing flexible deployment in both ring and point-to-point transport topologies. As a 4-port variant it offers a useful middle ground between single-channel and 8-way STM-1 boards for aggregation-ring capacity planning.
