Brocade 105-000-138 DCX / SAN768B director Telecom System Card / Module

The Brocade 105-000-138 is a CP8 Control Processor blade for the Brocade DCX and SAN768B Fibre Channel director-class switches (also sold under the EMC-branded equivalent part number). As the control processor module, it handles the core management, control-plane and fabric-services functions for the director chassis, coordinating the switching blades installed alongside it and providing the management interfaces administrators use to configure and monitor the fabric. DCX and SAN768B directors are typically deployed in pairs of redundant control processor blades for high availability, so a spare or replacement CP8 blade is a common requirement when maintaining an existing director-class SAN environment, whether to restore full redundancy after a failure or to keep a spare on hand for rapid replacement. As a genuine Brocade blade rather than a third-party equivalent, it is built to slot directly into the DCX/SAN768B backplane without any compatibility concerns.
