EMC 303-101-100 dual port 1 Gbit/s iSCSI TOE I/O module for the CLARiiON CX4 series.

The EMC 303-101-100 is a dual port 1 Gbit/s iSCSI I/O module for the CLARiiON CX4 series, of the TCP offload engine type that handles TCP processing on the module itself. It fits an I/O slot on a CX4 storage processor and gives the array two Gigabit Ethernet front end ports for iSCSI hosts, letting a CX4 serve block storage over standard Ethernet alongside or instead of Fibre Channel.

Handling the TCP stack on the card rather than in the storage processor is what kept iSCSI throughput usable on this generation of hardware. As with the other CX4 I/O modules it is fitted per storage processor and normally in pairs, so that both sides of the array present the same ports. EMC was acquired by Dell in 2016 and the CLARiiON range is supported under Dell EMC. Refurbished.
