Nortel AL2001A09: BayStack 70-24T stackable 24-port 10/100 Ethernet switch.

The Nortel AL2001A09 is a BayStack 70-24T, a stackable Ethernet switch with 24 10/100BASE-TX autosensing ports from Nortel’s BayStack 70 series, a compact, cost-focused range positioned below the BayStack 350/450/470 families for smaller wiring-closet deployments. It supports basic VLAN and stacking features aimed at straightforward Ethernet edge connectivity rather than the fuller Layer 3 routing feature set of Nortel’s higher-end BayStack ranges. Units of this generation remain in service in smaller or budget-constrained enterprise networks. Confirm stacking-cable and firmware compatibility against the rest of an existing BayStack 70-series deployment before ordering, since Nortel’s BayStack generations are not fully cross-compatible. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) carries Nortel components for engineers maintaining legacy and transitional network installations. Contact our sales team for availability.
