The Nortel NTHR21DA is a Passport 15000 four-port OC3C/STM1 ATM Function Processor, PQC 2 generation, single-mode intermediate-reach variant, an interface card for Nortel’s high-capacity Passport 15000 carrier ATM switching platform. It terminates four concatenated OC3C/STM1 (155Mbps) ATM links over single-mode fibre, adding WAN trunk or aggregation capacity to a Passport 15000 chassis alongside its other ATM, DS3 and control-processor cards. Passport 15000 switches were deployed by carriers and large enterprises as core ATM switching platforms, and a portion of that installed base remains in service.
