Nortel NTTK13AA (telecommunications transmission and networking portfolio) Telecom System Card / Module

The Nortel NTTK13AA is a 48MB software daughterboard for the Small System Controller (SSC) card on Meridian 1 Option 11C systems, fitted to carry the system software load that the SSC card runs from. It supports software releases from 24.25 through 25.XX and the Succession 3 platform, and sits in the same daughterboard family as the smaller-capacity NTDK21 (32MB) and NTDK81 (40MB) boards used on earlier release levels; the higher-capacity NTTK13AA is specifically required when a customer upgrades an Option 11C system to Release 25 or to Succession 3, where the larger code base no longer fits on the older boards. It ships as a plug-in daughterboard rather than a full card, fitted directly onto an existing SSC card during a software upgrade rather than replacing it outright. Genuine Nortel Option 11C hardware of this generation remains in active service in small and mid-size PBX installations across the UK and further afield, and a correctly-specified daughterboard is often the difference between a straightforward software upgrade and a forced hardware replacement.
