Nortel NTLX07AA: DAT tape drive packlet for the DMS-100 XA-Core.

The Nortel NTLX07AA is a DAT tape drive packlet for the DMS-100 XA-Core, the enhanced processor complex used on higher-capacity DMS-100 offices. Packlets of this kind carry the mechanical DAT (Digital Audio Tape) drive that XA-Core uses for system backups, software loads and diagnostic data capture, and they mount into the core’s dedicated storage bay alongside the processor and memory packs. DMS-100 XA-Core exchanges remain in service in established telecoms networks, and a working DAT drive packlet is a routine requirement for maintaining scheduled backup and software-load procedures on these offices. Independent listings for this exact part confirm it as an SPME DMS-100 XA-Core DAT tape drive unit. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Nortel DMS-100 XA-Core spares to support ongoing exchange maintenance.
