CPL (Common Photonic Layer) is the optical interworking layer used across Nortel’s OPTera Long Haul and OPTera Metro DWDM transport platforms, and a power feed module of this kind distributes DC power from the shelf’s power bus to the CPL circuit packs seated in a given slot group, rather than doing any signal processing itself.
