The Nortel NTCA11PK is a MOR+ (Metro Optical Repeater Plus) card for Nortel’s OME 6500/OPTera Metro optical platform, built to the Universal MSA PreRed/PostBlue band split at 1510nm, the counterpart unit to the PreBlue/PostRed variant catalogued alongside it. Like the rest of the NTCA-prefixed OME 6500 card family, it provides in-line optical amplification to extend a DWDM span, with its PreRed/PostBlue designation identifying which side of the band-split chain it occupies so the correct paired unit is fitted at each amplification point. Tech-Star supplies this as a secondary-market spare for maintaining or extending an existing OME 6500/OPTera Metro DWDM span.
