Nortel DS14002002: Passport 8600 (ERS 8600) chassis unit.

The Nortel DS14002002 is a Passport 8600 chassis unit. The Passport 8600, renamed Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 in 2004, is a modular router-and-switch platform sold in two chassis sizes: a six-slot 8006 and a ten-slot 8010, each accepting the same range of switch fabric, control processor and I/O modules. Passport/ERS 8600 chassis remain a core or aggregation platform in a number of established enterprise and carrier networks, and a genuine spare chassis is a routine requirement for expanding capacity or replacing a damaged unit.
