The Nortel NTPM04AH is recorded as an OCLD circuit pack: 2.5 Gbit/s, flexible, ITU CWDM at 1610 nm. OCLD is the optical channel laser and detector pack in Nortel’s Optical Metro shelves, the unit that puts a channel onto its assigned wavelength and recovers it at the far end. Nortel’s Optical Metro 5100 and 5200, originally sold as OPTera Metro, are DWDM transport systems for metro fibre networks. The 5100 has four traffic slots and the 5200 has sixteen, filled with circuit packs such as the optical channel interface, the optical channel laser and detector, transponders, and the shelf processor and optical service channel cards that manage them.
