Nortel NTCA04EP (telecommunications transmission and networking portfolio) Optical Transmission Module

The Nortel NTCA04EP is a 10G XR (Extended Reach) OC-192/STM-64 optical transponder card for the Nortel OPTera Long Haul (LH) 1600G DWDM transport platform, tuned to the 1530.33nm ITU-grid wavelength and part of the NTCA04-prefixed transponder family this catalogue has already confirmed against independent listings. OPTera LH 1600G is a long-haul dense wavelength-division multiplexing system built to carry high-capacity optical traffic across metro and long-haul fibre routes, and its XR transponder cards convert and regenerate individual DWDM wavelengths at extended-reach optical budgets for spans without in-line amplification. OPTera LH equipment remains deployed across a number of established long-haul optical networks, and genuine wavelength-specific transponders such as this one are a routine requirement when adding capacity or replacing a failed channel card. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies OPTera LH transponders to support ongoing network maintenance. Confirm exact wavelength and shelf compatibility before ordering.
