It provides three PDH tributary ports that can be configured to carry either E3 (34 Mbit/s) or T3 (45 Mbit/s) signals, giving operators flexibility when mixing European and North American PDH tributaries on the same shelf. The card works together with the A3E3 access panel (3AL78865AB), which brings the physical 75-ohm coaxial connections through to the port card, and is installed in the tributary area of the 1662SMC/1660SM subrack.
