The Cisco CP-7960G is a business-class IP telephone featuring six programmable line buttons, a large pixel-based display, and four interactive soft keys for intuitive call handling. The handset includes an integrated two-port 10/100 Ethernet switch, allowing a PC to share the same network drop, and supports inline power via Cisco pre-standard PoE or an optional external power supply.

Designed for deployment with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) and Cisco CallManager Express, the 7960G was widely used in enterprise IP telephony environments. It supports a broad range of features including call transfer, conferencing, hold, and speed dial, with XML-based services enabling directory access and productivity applications.

The CP-7960G is a legacy product that has been discontinued by Cisco. However, it remains in active use across many installed bases where organisations continue to operate older CallManager versions or require cost-effective handset replacements for existing deployments.
