Cisco WS-C3750V2-48PS-E enterprise networking (router/Catalyst switch/UCS families) Datacentre Switch

The Cisco WS-C3750V2-48PS-E is a Catalyst 3750-V2 Series stackable switch with 48 10/100 Fast Ethernet PoE ports and four SFP uplink slots, running the Enhanced Multilayer (IP Services) software image that adds full dynamic routing protocols on top of the platform’s standard Layer 2/3 switching. The 3750-V2 uses Cisco StackWise technology to join up to nine switches into a single managed unit over a shared stacking backplane, and the Enhanced image was aimed at deployments needing the switch to participate in dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP) rather than acting purely as an access-layer Layer 2 switch. Forty-eight PoE ports at Fast Ethernet speed suited desk-phone-heavy wiring closets before Gigabit-to-the-desktop became standard. The 3750-V2 has been succeeded by the 3750-X and later ranges but remains in service in a number of established campus deployments. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Cisco components to support ongoing network maintenance.
