Cisco N20-BBLKD enterprise networking (router/Catalyst switch/UCS families) Server Hardware / Parts

The Cisco N20-BBLKD is a blanking panel sized for an empty 2.5-inch hard-disk drive bay on a Cisco UCS B-Series blade server. UCS blades ship with a fixed number of drive bays, and any bay left without a drive fitted needs a blank of this kind in its place to maintain the chassis’s front-to-back airflow path; an open bay lets cooling air bypass the components it is meant to reach, which can raise operating temperatures across the whole blade. It is a simple, chassis-specific mechanical part rather than an active component, matched to the drive bay dimensions used across the UCS B-Series blade range within a UCS 5108 chassis. Blade configurations change over time as drives are added, removed or reconfigured, so a small stock of blanking panels is a routine item for anyone maintaining a UCS blade environment. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Cisco components to support ongoing network maintenance.
