The Ericsson KDUBS13006/5 is a Fan and Environment Control Unit (FECU) Version 3, designed for thermal management and environmental monitoring within Ericsson Radio Base Station (RBS) equipment. This module regulates cooling fan operation and monitors cabinet temperature to ensure optimal operating conditions for sensitive radio and transmission hardware.

The FECU V3 is deployed within Ericsson RBS 2000 and RBS 6000 series base station cabinets, where it plays a critical role in maintaining system reliability by preventing thermal overload. It interfaces with cabinet sensors to dynamically adjust fan speeds based on internal temperature readings.
