KRC118 73/2 Ericsson Ericsson RBS 6000 Radio Remote Unit

The KRC118 73/2 is an Ericsson RRUS 01 (Remote Radio Unit System) designed for Band 1 (2100 MHz) operation. This radio remote unit forms part of Ericsson’s distributed base station architecture, where radio frequency processing is moved from the cabinet to a compact unit mounted close to the antenna, reducing feeder losses and improving overall system efficiency.

The RRUS 01 B1 is deployed in mobile network infrastructure for WCDMA/UMTS coverage on the 2100 MHz frequency band. It connects to Ericsson Radio Base Station controllers via fibre optic CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface) links, enabling flexible site configurations and simplified antenna installations.

This is a legacy radio unit from Ericsson’s earlier RBS portfolio. Whilst superseded by newer RRUS generations in many networks, the RRUS 01 remains in service across established 3G deployments and is sought after for network maintenance, capacity matching, and like-for-like replacements.
