KRC161285/2 Ericsson RBS 6000 Series Radio Remote Unit

The Ericsson KRC161285/2 is an RRUS 12 (Remote Radio Unit System) designed for Band 8 (900 MHz) LTE network deployments. This remote radio head unit is engineered to be mounted at or near the antenna, connecting to the baseband unit via fibre optic CPRI links, reducing feeder losses and improving overall radio performance.

The RRUS 12 B8 forms part of Ericsson’s Radio Base Station portfolio, typically deployed within RBS 6000 series macro cell sites. Band 8 operation makes this unit suitable for wide-area coverage applications where the 900 MHz spectrum’s superior propagation characteristics are advantageous, particularly in rural and suburban environments.
