The Huawei 020MRN is a CMPT (CDMA Main Processing and Transmission) board, the main control board for Huawei baseband units in CDMA base station configurations. Following the same naming convention as Huawei’s WMPT (WCDMA) and UMPT (Universal) main control boards, the CMPT performs configuration and device management, performance monitoring and signalling processing for the base station, manages the resources of the other boards fitted in the BBU, and provides the main transmission and maintenance ports used for backhaul, software upgrade and local maintenance work. Sitting in the BBU’s main control slot, the CMPT is the central processing and transmission board around which the baseband and RF boards operate for CDMA network deployments.
