The Huawei 2102315639 is a UEIU (Universal Environment Interface Unit), an environmental-monitoring board for Huawei BBU3900, BBU3910 and BBU5900 baseband units. It collects external monitoring signals for the base station, supporting Boolean (dry-contact) alarm inputs and RS485 environment-monitoring interfaces, allowing sensors and alarm devices such as door, temperature and humidity monitors to be reported back through the BBU. The UEIU occupies an interface slot in the BBU subrack and works alongside the UPEU power-and-environment board to give operators visibility of site conditions. It is an optional plug-in unit fitted where remote environmental monitoring is required, rather than a power-delivery board itself, which is why it is tracked separately from the UPEU family in Huawei’s BBU documentation.
