The Huawei 031JNY10G is an OPM8 board, an 8-channel optical power monitor board for the Huawei OptiX OSN 8800 optical transport platform. It provides eight ports, each monitoring the optical power of the wavelengths carried on that port, and supports Automatic Power Equilibrium (APE).

The OPM8 fits the OSN 8800 subrack in DWDM and OTN networks, where it lets operators check the optical layer performance of each channel across metro and long-haul routes and keep signal levels balanced.
