Huawei WD2SLPU Signal Lightning Protection Unit for BBU3900/BBU3910, housing USLP2 boards to protect alarm and monitoring signals.

The Huawei WD2SLPU is an SLPU (Signal Lightning Protection Unit), a surge-protection housing used in Huawei BBU3900 and BBU3910 base band units. It protects the base station monitoring and alarm signal circuits from lightning and surge damage, and by default carries two USLP2 boards when configured as an alarm-signal protection unit. Customised alarm inputs are routed through the SLPU USLP protection stages before reaching the EXT-ALM ports of the UPEU or UEIU in the cabinet, shielding the environmental-monitoring wiring from voltage transients on exposed cabling. The SLPU is an optional assembly installed on sites that require additional signal-line protection. Supplied refurbished, the WD2SLPU is a direct-fit spare for maintaining installed Huawei BBU3900/BBU3910 distributed base stations.
