Huawei QWF1EBBC BBU3900 Base Station Module

The Huawei QWF1EBBC (EBBC, material code 020GJC10) is a baseband processing and interface board used within the Huawei BBU3900 distributed base station unit. As part of the BBU3900 modular baseband architecture, the EBBC board supports the E1/backplane baseband and interface functions that allow the BBU3900 to process and route baseband signals between the transmission subsystem and the wider distributed base station, working alongside the BBU3900’s other functional boards such as the GTMU, WMPT, WBBP and UPEU. The BBU3900 is a 19-inch wide, 2U high modular baseband unit widely deployed for GSM, UMTS and early LTE radio access network rollouts, and the EBBC is one of the interface boards that can be fitted into its card slots depending on the network configuration and generation of hardware deployed. A newer EBBCd variant (QWF1EBBCD) later superseded this board in some deployments. Because Huawei BBU3900 units were deployed in very large volumes globally, tested secondary-market boards such as this one are commonly used for like-for-like field replacement in legacy 2G/3G networks.
