Huawei ISM8 (SL91ISM8) versatile dual IF board for the OptiX RTN 950/950A/980 microwave IDU; two IF ports plus a 10GE cascade port, supports XPIC, 1+1 protection and PLA.

The Huawei SL91ISM8 is an ISM8 versatile dual IF (intermediate frequency) board for the OptiX RTN 950/950A and RTN 980 microwave IDU. It provides two IF ports for connection to outdoor units (ODUs/RFUs) and one 10GE cascade port, and supplies the management channel and -48 V feed to the connected ODUs. The two IF channels can be used for intra-board or inter-board XPIC, 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection, or PLA/EPLA link aggregation in one microwave direction, or to drive links in two different directions. The ISM8 supports IEEE 1588v2 PTP timing for synchronised multi-link deployments such as carrier aggregation. It installs in slots 1 to 14 of the RTN chassis. It is a Hybrid/Packet microwave IF board, not a generic interface service module. Available from Tech-Star as new or refurbished stock; submit a price enquiry for availability and lead time.
